Continuation of the project “Future Housing”

A project financed by the Region of Southern Denmark and the Danish Agency for Science and Innovation.

The project Future Housing had the goal of realizing a concept for a future oriented, energy effective housing type, primarily for low-rise buildings through the use of new, preferably plastics based, materials as well as other high technology products, combined with new construction and building principles.

Preliminary studies had been conducted with respect to choice of materials and studies of functional requirements and design criteria.

Based on the results of the preliminary studies, selected building sections were developed and tested. The project went through all stages of manufacture – from production and workshop to installation at the construction site.

A report describing the project has been prepared.
