Seminar – A status of Chemical Recycling

On 22 May 2023 the innovation network Danish Materials Network facilitated by Plast Center Danmark held a seminar in collaboration with Ocean Plastic Forum, the purpose of which was to disseminate the latest developments of chemical recycling.

The seminar was held at the premises of Aalborg University Esbjerg, Denmark. The 60 participants got to hear many very interesting presentations and had the opportunity to discuss the progress within chemical recycling during the networking breaks, which as usual could have been a little longer anyway.

The participants were also informed about potential cooperation opportunities and handed out material about them.  The CEO from Plast Center Danmark, Ms. Dorte Walzl Baelum gave a presentation of the POLREC project and the possibilities for the SMEs to join.

The day ended with a visit to and a demonstration of a pilot pyrolysis plant at the company Waste2Value.
