About DMN

DMN is a network consisting of above 100 companies with an interest in materials related issues.

The network is nationwide, but it is concentrated around companies in Central Denmark Region and Southern Denmark Region.

The network is facilitated by the commercial foundation Plast Center Danmark.

DMN’s secretariat is situated in Esbjerg and is manned on a daily basis by 5 people.

The aims of the network

DMN works as an active link between the Danish business sector, universities, government institutions and other knowledge suppliers at home and abroad – with the desire to ensure the best possible knowledge sharing network between the parties. DMN especially supports Danish companies to turn the results from materials research into new, innovative products, production methods and business areas.

Our areas of competence:

• DMN heads up material technological projects whereby companies are invited to take part in close collaboration with leading universities and other scientific institutions at home and abroad.
• DMN distributes knowledge in connection with specific material technological issues.
• DMN circulates the latest results from the materials science research.
• DMN holds theme days, seminars, conferences and courses with a view to distributing information and Matchmaking.

DMN’s vision is to be a ‘World Class Cluster’ in the areas of materials science and the related production technologies and thereby to put Danish industry into the front line of global competition as well as providing a fertile environment for collaborative projects with international partners.
